As the President of the
Institute for the Study
and Treatment of Pain, Vancouver,
and originator of Intramuscular
Stimulation (IMS), I offer
my heartfelt congratulations
to the Korean IMS Association
on the auspicious opening
of its web site.
Also, as the proponent for
the concept of neuropathic
pain, I am impressed by
how many
Korean Physicians have rapidly
taken a leading role in
the understanding of its
principles.
I pay tribute to the Korean
IMS Association for the
endeavors of its members
in utilizing
IMS for treating this large
and important category of
pain.
The diligence of Dr. Ahn
Kang, Dr. Kim Keung Soo
and Dr. Choi Keun Sun, as
well as
other members of the Korean
IMS Association to further
IMS, is inspiring; not only
to
professionals throughout
the world, but also to chronic
pain sufferers who have
gained
much relief through IMS.
I sincerely wish the Association
every success in furthering
the Gunn Approach which
is
now widely recognized as
an efficient and effective
management for neuropathic
pain.
Best wishes
Professor C Chan Gunn, CM,
OBC, MD, PhD (HC)
President, Institute for
the Study and Treatment
of Pain (iSTOP)
